The campus holidays will take place this year from 26.07.- 06.08.2021. There will be two different groups for children aged 6-11.
Childcare will take place from Monday to Friday from 8am-5pm. We meet in the morning between 8am and 9am at a central location on campus. In the afternoon, between 3pm and 5pm, children can be collected from Sports Hall 3. In the meantime, we will explore the campus with the children in their respective groups and do exciting projects.
As the effects of the Corona pandemic are still being felt, we also adhere to the current hygiene and spacing rules. This includes a regular Corona self-test at the beginning of the day. We will get these tests from the OVGU test centre so that the children can test themselves with us in the morning.
For the group "Explore & Discover" you can find the programme here.
A second group will be able to gain their first programming experience with our computer scientists in the ChocLab.
The CHOC Lab is designed for pupils, primarily from primary schools. In analogue exercises and small making projects, we try to understand together how computers and their algorithms work. We tinker and create simple programmes for the micro:bit, the LEGO WeDo construction kit and the Robo Wunderkind robot.
More information about CHOC LAb can be found here: https://mttcs.ovgu.de/CHOC+LAB.html
Registration is via e-learning.

The second semester marked by the Corona pandemic is coming to an end. We have all faced new challenges and problems in balancing studies and family in the past months. Online teaching, online exams, closed schools and daycare have greatly changed our daily study and family life. And the coming period will probably continue to be marked by contact restrictions and the like.
The family representative cordially invites you to an exchange of experiences. The meeting will be held via Zoom on Feb. 15 from 9-11 a.m. and on Feb. 17 from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. The family representatives of the faculties are also invited to the meeting, so there will always be a contact person familiar with the faculty and the study programs. You are also welcome to name topics in advance on which you would definitely like to discuss with me, the colleagues from the faculties and the other student parents.
Please register for the event by sending an email to loreen.lesske@ovgu.de. The access data will be sent to all registered participants one day before the event.
